What is AddPower?
AddPower is a Munich-based startup developing drive kits for brick-built vehicles. Our idea: With a simple, universal drive kit, brick-built cars of various scales can drive authentically and with high performance. This means the models aren't just sitting on a shelf, but can be actively used. Our team currently consists of six people, all working towards the vision of bringing brick-built sets to life.
How does AddPower work?
The patented AddPower kit uses a simple electric drive with wheel hub motors. These can either be integrated directly during construction or retrofitted into an existing model. This makes almost any brick-built vehicle quickly and easily drivable.
Where do you manufacture?
We develop and design the majority of our components ourselves and manufacture many parts directly in Germany. We currently produce electronic components in cooperation with an experienced partner manufacturer in China.
What variations are there?
AddPower relies on a single, universal drive kit that fits almost all brick-built cars. Additionally, motors for larger models, such as 1:8 scale, can be connected – without requiring an extra kit.
What interfaces does the drive kit offer?
The AddPower system supports common interfaces from the RC sector. This allows for the easy integration of various motors, controllers, and remote control systems.
